In 1919, Nashville Auto-Diesel College opened its doors in the Tennessee capital.  The school’s founder, Mr. H.O. Balls, was a pioneer – he saw a need for skilled, trained technicians to repair and maintain the new cars and trucks rolling off assembly lines throughout the country, and he established a school to fill that gap.

Ninety-five years later, the school – now the – is known as one of the most established and respected career training institutions in the Southeast.  And on October 11, 2014, the campus held a 95th anniversary celebration to mark the occasion and celebrate with the Nashville community!

More than 200 guests turned out for the event, many of them high school students who came to find out more about how a 91��Ƭ training program can help them get started on the road to Automotive, Diesel, and Heavy Equipment careers.  Long-time 91��Ƭ partners NAPA Auto Parts and Matco Tools attended, along with Ray from radio station WSIX’s “Bobby Bones Show.”

Campus tours and scholarship testing were offered throughout the day, and area residents brought muscle cars and other classic rides to show off.  The festivities also included the 91��Ƭ Group of Schools’ largest Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS, as a front-loader packed with ice water doused the Nashville faculty and staff to raise money for a great cause!
